Dandadanhas been on a roll with one smash-hit episode after another. Episode 11 of the anime debuted a brand new character, who is also Okarun’s romantic rival. As the episode debuted, those who watchedDandadan‘s English dub were awed by the skills of Jiji’s voice actor.
Jiji’s weird introduction, along with his history with Momo, has intrigued the audience. Okarun has already started feeling intimidated by Jiji since he was Momo’s first crush. Given that Jiji will become a major character in the anime soon, voicing this notorious teenager is a highlight for Le.

Aleks Le is a Vietnamese-American voice actor who has been cast for the role of Jiji in the English dubbed version ofDandadan. With Jiji’s debut in episode 11 of the anime, fans finally got to see one of the most interesting and weird characters of the series come alive. And it was made even better with Aleks’ presence.
Dandadan Understands Why Fans Couldn’t Tolerate High-School Anime Anymore
Le has previously voiced Sung Jinwoo, the protagonist of theSolo Leveling anime.He made his debut in the voice-acting industry around 20 years ago. His first project was voicing Male Hoyoung fromMapleStory, an MMORPG adventure game, in 2003. His career as an anime voice actor began very recently. His first major anime role as an animation voice actor began with Alexis Deux fromRecord of Grancest War, which was released in 2018.
Dandadan‘s Jiji is Le’s latest role, and he has proved his worth in the very first episode of the anime. Jiji might look like a prim and proper guy at first, but in reality, he is a weirdo with a zeal for making strange faces and voices. So, voicing him must have been a struggle. Yet, Aleks Le passed with flying colors.
Natsuki Hanae’s comment on Aleks Le voicing Jiji
Natsuki Hanae is the Japanese voice actor for Okarun, the protagonist ofDandadan. He voicesDemon Slayer‘s Tanjiro Kamado, Ken Kaneki fromTokyo Ghoul, and many other characters from popular series. So when he was informed about Aleks Le, being the voice actor of Jiji,he had one thing to say:
Ah Aleks.. you’re getting too many good roles now.

To this, Le was surprised since Hanae himself has such a huge track record and plays the lead role inDandadan. But in all honesty,Jiji is a far more complex characterthan Okarun due to his various antics. Admittedly, Le has been securing some of the most coveted anime voice-acting roles in his recent career.

All of these roles are either of the protagonist or a major character.
