There are scores of class and subclass mods forBaldur’s Gate 3, as players move beyond the game’s vanilla options. Some of the most popular class mods includethe Artificer, the Death Knightclass from World of Warcraft and a port of theMagus classfrom the Pathfinder ruleset.
A new mod by Sumradagnoth adds another subclass mod onto the pile, adding a Samurai subclass to the game’s existing Fighter class.

Baldur’s Gate 3 Mods That ‘Glow Up’ Faces Are My Pet Peeve
The forcing of conventional beauty standards on everything is tiring.
The Samurai is an official subclass in the fifth edition, originating in the sourcebook Xanathar’s Guide to Everything. Sumradagnoth’s mod is faithful to Xanathar’s class description, even going so far as to change Baldur’s Gate 3’s base combat mechanics.
Unbreakable Resolve
The base skill for Samurai is Fighting Spirit, which allows you to use a bonus action to give yourself advantage on weapon attack rolls, you also get a set number of temporary hit points. This can be used three times per long rest.
At level 7, you’ll get a bonus equal to your wisdom modifier on charisma (persuasion) checks through the Elegant Courtier feature. You’ll also gain proficiency in wisdom saving throws. Tireless Spirit is a level 10 feature that allows you to regain one use of Fighting Spirit after rolling initiative if you have none left.

It’s very common for these class/subclass mods to make use ofUnlock Level Curve, a mod that extends the level cap from 12 to 20, the usual highest level in tabletop Dungeons and Dragons.
The Samurai is a fighter who draws on an implacable fighting spirit to overcome enemies. - Xanathar’s Guide to Everything

At level 15, Rapid Strike will allow you to forego your advantage (second roll) in favour of an additional weapon attack. At level 18, Strength Before Death allows you to take an extra turn immediately upon dropping to 0 hit points. After the turn is over, you fall unconscious as normal.
The Samurai is a reasonably strong subclass in base Dungeons and Dragons, but then again, Fighter is a strong class to begin with. I don’t imagine the Samurai is any more broken than the Fighter already is in Baldur’s Gate 3.

Sumradagnoth’s mod comes complete with snazzy unique ability icons and is available to downloadhere.
