Demon Slayer’s plot follows a singular pattern where the entire Demon Slayer Corp is trying to eradicate the Demons and their leader, Kibutsuji Muzan. Currently, the latter is the strongest individual in theDemon Slayer, but there is only one person who makes him experience fear. Yoriichi Tsugikuni scarred him for life when he almost killed him.
Muzan somehow managed to escape, leaving his servant alone. Seeing how much she hated Muzan, Yorrichi decided to spare her life. Centuries later, the servant became one of the greatest assets for the Demon Slayer Corps. She even helped Nezuki turn back into a human. Sparing Lady Tamayo was the smartest move in the anime.
Yoriichi Tsugikuni Unknowingly Helped In Eradicating Kibutsuji Muzan
Yoriichi Tsugikuni almost killedKibutsuji Muzan, but the latter somehow escaped with his life. He is the only individual to ever strike fear into the demon lord. His memories still haunt him even after centuries. When Muzan first started his demonic works, he turned Lady Tamayo into a demon so that she could cure him. But losing control over her senses caused her to kill her family. After she realized what she did, she started to despise him.
After multiple tries, when she could not end Kibutsuji Muzan’s tyranny, she accepted her fate and became his servant. It was at that time the duo encountered Yoriichi Tsugikuni. After Muzan escaped with his life, leaving Tamayo behind, the Demon Slayer could have easily killed her. But after seeing her hate towards the Demon Lord, he spared her life. Sparring a demon’s life is not something aDemon Slayerwould do.
But Yoriichi Tsugikuni’s decision to spare Lady Tamayo’s life turned out to be the best. Not only did she aid Tanjiro Kamado, but also cured her sister and slowed down Kibutsuji Muzan’s regeneration abilities so that the Hashiras could attack him from all sides. In the final battle, Tamayo proved to be a massive help. Even after her dying centuries ago, Yoriichi indirectly helped the Demon Slayers.

The Infinity Castle arc will be the beginning of the end. All the Hashiras,Tanjiro, and his friends will take on the Upper Moons and the Demon Lord. Ufotable has done a great job with the animation and increased everyone’s expectations regarding the upcoming arc. Unlike a traditional season, the Infinity Castle arc will be divided into a trilogy and released in theatres. At the end of season 4, everyone thought Muzan’s time was up.

The current generation of Demon Slayers will look to finish what Yoriichi Tsugikuni started eons ago.
