Beau DeMayo’s exit fromX-Men ’97came out of nowhere

Even before the season aired, Executive Producer, Creator, and Head Writer on the show,Beau DeMayo was released from Marvel. It is not normal for writers to part ways with studios, but DeMayo could be described as a top creative within the studio, having worked onMoon KnightandBlade, the writer seemed to be an integral part of the creative team.

However, the writer’s release came with the suspension of all media and press appearances, which seemed unusual. While details have been scarce about the writer’s release, it seems that fans want him back ASAP, given how the show has been going in Season 1.

X-Men ‘97

I think it’s safe to say that#XMen97is the absolute BEST the MCU’s been in years. The melodrama is SIZZLING, the emotions pack a wallop. Idk what happened or why but Marvel needs to move heaven & earth to get Beau DeMayo back & have him direct the X-Men movie while we’re at it!pic.twitter.com/4FE8Y3PXWi

With the fans growing ever-vocal about DeMayo’s exit, audiences can only wait and see what Marvel’s next move will be. It has not been made public why DeMayo was forced out, and information is not forthcoming from either DeMayo himself or Marvel. However, the show is set for another season thanks to DeMayo as the House of Mouse continues looking for other head writers to take the story forward.
