We all love Mr. Bean, the bumbling, silent genius who lives alone at Flat 2, 12 Arbour Road, Highbury. The lazy, crazy, clumsy, and lunatic character is everybody’s favorite, due to a variety of reasons.

His popularity is a result of various elements which include his universal humor. That, along with Rowan Atkinson’s acting chops, and his ability to produce slapstick comedy makes for one of the most hilarious series of most viewers’ childhoods.
So, to all the Mr. Bean fans, here’s some good news for you. The animated series of Mr. Bean is rolling into 2025, but the question is — will Rowan Atkinson make a grand return? And the answer is yes! So, get ready to laugh your way into 2025 as the fourth season ofMr. Bean: The Animated Seriesmakes a comeback.

Banijay’s Tiger Aspect Kids & Family brings joy again, thanks to deals with Warner Bros. Discovery and ITVX. The show is being produced and voiced by the one and only Rowan Atkinson himself. Season 4 will consist of 52 x 11 episodes. This brings the total number of episodes across all series to 182, each lasting 11 minutes.
It will broadcast on Cartoonito, HBO Max, Warner Bros. Discovery’s kids channels in EMEA, Southeast Asia, and South Asia, and on ITVX Kids in the U.K. and Ireland.

As noted, it will be available for viewing in 2025 when the show completes 35 years of its first live-action episode. On the upcoming animated project, star Atkinson expressed his fascination with the program and said onVariety:
“I have always enjoyed this iteration of the Mr. Bean character and the particular freedoms he has in animated form. We can take him into space or down a tin mine, without me personally having to suffer the consequences. The animation process creatively is always fascinating and I’m looking forward to getting stuck into the new series very much.”

The series will be directed by Dave Osborne (known for (Supa Team 4, The 99 Unbound, andPip Ahoy!).Along with Atkinson, the managing director Tom Beattie is also an executive producer and Arnold Widdowson is the main producer. It’s head writers are Ciaran Murtagh and Andrew Barnett Jones.

Nobody knew the show that was about to be calledMr. Whitewould hit the jackpot in the years that followed. Yes, Mr. Bean was earlier named Mr. White. As the show creators kept suggesting vegetable names, it was then changed to Mr.Cauliflower.
Eventually,Mr. Beanwas finalized on the name of a Bean. Later, 2 movies, an animated series, some books, and a video game were released using the same name. The first Mr. Bean film, titledBean, grossed over $250 million worldwide, which shows its name and character’s appeal.
The pantomime character who is always seen in his trademark tweed jacket and a skinny red tie, does a range of unusual stuff that people have grown to love, over the years.Rowan Atkinson, the comedic mastermind, literally turned the character into a global icon by tickling the funny bones of audiences everywhere.
The man of many talents, Atkinson not only excelled in acting but in academics as well. He has a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and almost enrolled in a doctoral program at Oxford University.
But to pursue a career in acting, Atkinson had to drop out. We know that the legendary actor is barely seen attending any interviews and there’s a reason for that. Rowan Atkinson’s work in theMr. Beanfranchise alone (including a successful TV series, animated series, and two feature films), has earned him a pretty penny and a rumored $11 Million in royalties.
Atkinson earned a whopping $200,000 salary per episode for theMr. BeanTV show. The OG TV series ran from 1990 to 1995 and aired in more than 180 countries. The show kept airing globally throughout the years. The actor still earns $14 million annually through the streaming of his shows. And a sum of it is fromMr. Bean, too. He also earns from the royalties that are associated with the sales of its toys and merchandise.
In 2012, there were rumors of him calling it quits. As he told in an interview with The Daily Telegraph (viaMetro),
“The stuff that has been most commercially successful for me – basically quite physical, quite childish – I increasingly feel I’m going to do a lot less of.”
However, that turned out to be untrue. The 68-year-old is still going strong with his involvement with the character.
