Robert Picardo’s role inGremlins 2: The New Batchhas stirred up quite a storm of discussion, and it’s not just about his high-rise office antics. Fans are particularly flabbergasted by a scene where his character, Forster, finds himself in a rather steamy situation with a female Gremlin.

In the movie, Forster is a corporate bigwig at the Clamp Center, a towering office complex that becomes ground zero for Gremlin mayhem. Enter the female Gremlin, now decked out in a full-on wedding dress and veil, channeling her inner bride.

She sidles up to Forster with all the subtlety of a sledgehammer, and things quickly get…awkward. The scene progresses from flirtatious banter to an unexpected and intimate encounter that’s as bewildering as it is memorable.

This has led to a scene that has fans talking.

The mixed reactions are no surprise. To some, this scene is a gem of the film’s offbeat humor, showcasing Gremlins 2’s knack for blending the absurd with the hilarious. Let’s see what fans are saying:

So, whether you see it as a comic goldmine or a cringe-worthy misstep, it’s clear that this scene has left its mark.

Gremlins 2: The New Batch– Robert Picardo’s Take on Gremlin Kisses

Robert Picardo himself has remarked onGremlins 2: The New Batch’s chaotic script, noting how the blend of puppetry, special effects, and zany humor made the whole experience a wild ride. And his scene with female Gremlins has certainly become the talk of the town.

If you think that sounds like a recipe for hilarity, you’re not alone! But who was behind all those lipstick-laden kisses? Picardo spilled the beans (viaSYFY):

Ooh, that’s a tough one. I’m going to give you the honest answer, even at the time, I thought it was not necessarily the correct thing to do.

The scene, which involves a prop assistant—yes, a real human—applying kisses to Picardo’s dapper mug, wasn’t exactly his idea of a day at the spa. The actor, 70, recalled:

There was a second prop assistant who was a woman… and she was putting lipstick on and she was going to have to plant the kisses on me. I said, ‘Are you OK with this? I don’t think you should have to do this.’ And she said, ‘No, I don’t mind.’ And I said, ‘Are you sure? They could make a stamp or something.’

Despite Picardo’s reservations, the prop assistant was game for the task.“She went on to become one of the most successful prop masters in all of television,”he said, with a grin:

I was completely uncomfortable… I guess they looked at her… and she looked like she had the perfect… how do you say it gracefully? She had the perfect lips to make lipstick marks on the wall. She could have done that for a living. She had a very good lipstick look.

So, the scene might be as outlandish as a three-headed coin toss, but it’s certainly left its mark on fans and film history alike.
