The world has changed drastically over the years, giving people the freedom and empowerment they need to be their true selves. While negativity has not completely vanished, people have become more accepting than ever. Now, this acceptance is being extended toOppenheimeractor Emma Dumont who recently changed their name and pronouns and came out as non-binary.
Of course, not everyone is readily going to accept and/or welcome the change, and thus, social media is full of trolls coming for the actor. One of them is American political activist Riley Gaines who took a dig at the change in the actor’s life.
Emma Dumont Comes Out as Trans-Masculine, Non-Binary
Without making a big fuss about it all, Emma Dumont changed their Instagram bio to represent the change in her life. While their username continues to be @emmadumont, they changed their name to “Nick Dumont” and updated the pronouns to they/them.
Their bio reads,“Only call me Nick if ur cool okay?”
This was first reported byTMZwho reached out to one of Dumont’s representatives for a comment. According to the rep, theOppenheimerstar identifies as a trans-masculine non-binary person. Furthermore, even though they have changed their name to Nick, their professional name will continue to be Emma.

As per the representative,
They identify as a trans masculine non-binary person. Their work name is still going to be Emma Dumont, but they will go by Nick with friends and family.
Kudos to Dumont for finding the truest version of themselves. We hope they don’t let the haters get to them as let’s face it, there’s going to be one too many.
Political Activist Riley Gaines Came for Emma Dumont
Riley Gainesis an American political activist and swimmer who has campaigned against the participation of trans women in women’s sports. She has retired from competition and is now fully focused on political activism.
Gaines’ political support lies with the Republicans’Donald Trump. She posed with a sticker that read“I Voted”for herInstagramand captioned the post,“I voted for my daughter’s future.”
After Trump won and became the 47thPresident of the United States, Gaines uploaded a tweetstating,“We are officially unburdened by what has been.”Now, she is speaking up about the Dumont situation.

After the news about Dumont’s sexuality went viral, Gaines had to give her two cents on the whole situation. To the New York Post’s story about the actor, Gaines replied,“Someone explain ‘trans-masculine non-binary’ to me like I’m 5.”

Her followers had a lot to say about it all and didn’t hold back any punches when it came to taking a dig at Dumont. From stating that“it means she identifies as an attention seeker”to“It means, ‘I need a job,’”kindness was the last thing on their minds.
As for Dumont, they will next be seen in the mystery/thriller,New Me,which is yet to have a release date.
