After many years of very horrendous movie and TV adaptations, the golden age of videogames in other media could be real. Many new videogame adaptations have been a tremendous success, likeThe Last of UsorThe Super Mario Bros Movie.
TheFalloutseries that Amazon Prime Video will release this year could be another hit for adaptations. TheFalloutTV adaptation will be available in April, and the showrunner of this series has much confidence in this product and talked about new possible seasons.
The Fallout TV show on Amazon Prime Video could have more than one season
Since the first adaptations of a videogame into a movie or TV series, Hollywood has had several problems in the past with respecting and adapting the source material. However, in the last couple of years, this has changed drastically. Shows and movies likeTwisted Metal,The Last of Us,Sonic: The Hedgehog, andThe Super Mario Bros Movie.

One of the showrunners of theFalloutTV series, Graham Wagner, hadan interview with Total Filmtalking about the adaptation. When he was asked about more seasons of the show, he replied,“But we feel we’ve barely scratched the surface of the Fallout universe.”He is very eager to make more content about this franchise.

He added that he has a pile of documents with content to adapt and introduce in the new series. Fans of the games are very excited about this adaptation; the trailers seem to have shown a well-made product.
The Fallout TV series has so much potential
This Fallout adaptation will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on April 12. Some main cast members are Ella Purnell, Walton Goggins, Moises Arias, and Kyle MacLachlan. The firstFalloutgame was released in 1997 as a role-playing, point-and-click kind of game. By the third entry of the franchise, the game went third and first-person mutating into one of the most praised games of all time.
More TV and movie adaptations of videogames are being developed, like the second season ofThe Last of Us, a third movie ofSonic: The Hedgehog, a newMortal Kombatmovie, aGhost of Tsushimamovie, aDeath Strandingmovie, aBorderlandsmovie, and many more. Companies are eager to make some new games go transmedia.
