With constant updates and big DLCs,Remnant 2is trying to stay relevant as the hype for Elden Ring’s DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree, builds up. This week,Remnant 2‘s second major DLC, The Forgotten Kingdom, was announced and is expected to lure back all the players who stopped playing the game after the release of the first DLC,The Awakened King.

In one of her recent interviews, Cindy To, the principal-level designer of Gunfire Games’Remnant 2, revealed that they focus on the longevity of the game by adding things that keep it relevant and enjoyable. The new DLC forRemnant 2will be released on 23rd April.

The principal-level designer ofRemnant 2, Cindy To, recently appeared for an interview withPCGamerand talked about Gunfire Games’ popular Soulslike game. While talking about adding new loadouts in the game, To revealed that they take their time as they focus more on the longevity of the game,
“It’s about the shelf-life of the game. We’re not a live service game, but we want to make sure that our product can stay timeless and relevant for what it is, so people can just go in there and have a good time.”

There is no doubt that Gunfire Games has a strong plan to keepRemnant 2relevant for a long time. Just 4 months afterits initial release in July 2023, the game got a new DLC calledThe Awakened King, adding new story elements, creatures, and environments. Since then, the gamehas undergone various tweaksas Gunfire Games added some minor updates.

The trailer forRemnant 2‘s latest DLC titledThe Forgotten Kingdomwas dropped onYouTuberecently and it has given fans enough reasons to return to the game. Like the previous DLC, the game adds several new things but the addition of a new Archetype called The Invoker. The Forgotten Kingdom DLC can be purchased individually for $9.99 and the DLC bundle forRemnant 2is also available for $24.99.

When the first DLC was dropped, it was revealed that the game would get 3 DLCs and so far, fans have got 2. The next DLC is expected to drop later this year, probably after the release of Elden Ring’s DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree.
Remnant 2is available for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S.
