In certain instances, a third-person and first-person camera replaced the top-down camera from the first title, enhancing the immersive gameplay. A fan of the first game posted on Reddit that the studio should honor a certain weapon by making it much more effective than it was in the first title.

However, many players believe that certain weapons have undergone significant nerfs to the point of no longer making sense. A Reddit user detailed why they believe the Railgun was much better in the first game of this franchise.
The Railgun, a Weapon That Has Lost Its Credibility
This user posted a lengthy text on Reddit explaining why the current state of the Railgun, after numerous updates inHelldivers 2, has made the weapon practically useless against the Automatons.
This particular user appears to be a veteran franchise player who has already tested the weapon in the previous game. Based on this comparison, they admit that, due to the various updates, the weapon is now useless against these enemies.
As a knowledgeable player, the user detailed the enemies against whom the weapon is effective. It appears that this particular weapon is effective against only two enemies, rendering it practically obsolete.
