All of the leaks, rumours, and wild speculation can soon be put to rest as theWarzoneLive Event is almost upon us. With only one week to go until the beginning of Season 3 inCold WarandWarzone, we’ve put together everything you need to know about the Nuke inbound for Verdansk.
The teasers have officially begun, with theCall of DutyTwitter account recently tweeting out a date and time. Check out theirWarzoneteaser below.
WarzoneLive Event
So far, the only details that are set in stone from Activision themselves surrounding theWarzonelive event is the date. Unfortunately, as of writing, any other information is simply leaks, rumours, or predictions.
The rumours surrounding the nuking of Verdansk began at the start of Season 2 back on the 25th of February. Zombies were introduced to the Battle Royale world and have been spreading ever since. But now it seems as though the undead have become too much to handle, and the only solution is to nuke Verdansk.
Activision has confirmed theWarzoneLive Event will take place onApril 21at the following times.
12PM PT / 3PM ET / 8PM BST
There have been a lot of leaks surrounding the upcoming Nuke Event inWarzone, so we’ve only put together the most important bits of information.
One of the most important leaks surrounding the Nuke Event comes from@ZestyCODLeakson Twitter. The famous leaker revealed various audio clips from the upcoming event. Much of the audio is Captain Price saying lines such as:
“Extraction failed, Nuke inbound for Verdansk!”
“Verdansk is lost. End it.”
The audio files also point towards certain ‘plague zones’ in the event, most likely meaning there will be more than one area infested with the undead during the event.
The next leak is around the possibility of a brandWarzonemap, or an 80’s themed Verdansk which will be more in line with Treyarch’sCold Wartheme.
When the leaks started coming out about a newWarzonemap, leakers and data miners couldn’t decide if the new map would be a completely new map set in the Ural Mountains, or an 80’s themed version of the already existing Verdansk.
Leakers such asTom Hendersonhave now agreed that the nextWarzonemap is likely to be a 1980’s version of Verdansk. This was also confirmed in a report fromVGC.
There was alsoleaked footageof a supposed upcoming advert to promote the new season ofWarzone. The advert appears to show Verdansk at a completely different time.
Predictions
So what can players expect from the actual live event? Well, these are just our predictions as nothing has been confirmed by anyone at theCall of Dutyteam.
Going off of a report byVGC, we expect the actual Nuke and new map to be introduced on April 22 when Season 3 actually begins. With the actual event confirmed for a day before Season 3 begins, we expect fans to be able to play in a zombie filled event in a final effort to take them out and save Verdansk.
This also leads us into our next prediction, and one we feel is less likely, but we can dream. We expect the Zombies to infest the whole of Verdansk on April 21, not simply just move from one location to the next.
We would imagine the event will see the Zombies start to take over other POI’s on the map, until they take over the whole of Verdansk one by one.
We also predict a lot of rewards to be up for grabs in the event, expect to get new calling cards, blueprints and more.
Whatever happens on April 21, we know that the event will act as a transition from the modern day setting ofWarzoneinto the 80’s themed cold war era ofBlack Ops Cold War.
Cold War&WarzoneSeason 3
Season 3 ofCold WarandWarzoneis set to begin on April 22, fans can expect a brand new Battle Pass, New Multiplayer Maps, and possibly even a brand newWarzonemap.
There is yet to be any confirmation from Activision about the content coming in Season 3, but what we do know is that there is only 1 more week left to level up that Season 2 Battle Pass.
