Activision has been fairly tight-lipped regarding Building 21 prior to its release, sharing fairly little information about it. Many fans had speculated that Building 21 would be a new playable area on the Al Mazrah map. However, following its release, it is clear this is not the case. In this guide, you will learn everything there is to know about this bizarre area andhow to gain access to it.
What Is Building 21
Building 21 is an areaavailable exclusively for Warzone 2’s DMZ modeand was released shortly after Modern Warfare 2’s Season 1 Reloaded update. Unlike the larger Al Mazrah map,Building 21 is a more confined laboratorybuilding that only holds up to12 playersat a time. Players can findexclusive rewards in this new area, such as aChimera Weapon Blueprintand many more lucrative items.
To gain access to Building 21, you will need aDRC Building 21 Access Card, which can be looted within the Al Mazrah map. If you are lucky enough to obtain this access card, you may need to wait for Building 21 to be made available, as it is currently on a rotation.

How To Get A Building 21 Access Card
TheDRC Building 21 Access Cardcan be foundwithin rare loot cache Supply Boxes, which can be distinguished by their orange coloration, andSupply Drops in Al Mazrah. However, the chances of finding one within either container are pretty slim. Rare Supply Boxes can be found in high-tier loot areas, notablyStrongholdsor locked areas that are only accessible with Keys.
Supply Drops, on the other hand, can bedropped from Commander Helos or Airplanesthat have been shot down by capturedSAM turrets. You can capture a SAM site by interacting with its control panel and then defending the area until the process is complete. There are alsopublic Supply Drop eventsthroughout the course of a DMZ match, which also provides a chance to obtain a DRC Building 21 Access Card.

Once you have obtained aDRC Building 21 Access Card, go ahead andExtract it from Al Mazrahto lock it into your DMZ Key Storage. You are now free to queue into matchmaking for Building 21, granted it is made available. If you have missed the deployment window, you will have to wait for future deployment opportunities, which can be tracked via the public countdown.
Before you deploy into Building 21, make sure you have obtainedBlue and Red Access Key Cards, which are used tounlock restricted areas. These can be found in loot cache containers in Al Mazrah, just like the DRC Building 21 Access Card, most notablyrare Supply Boxes.
