The Redacted faction features plenty of unique missions, each of which is tied to the various new additions made forWarzone 2DMZ Season 3. While the last major seasonal updates failed to bring any big changes to the Al Mazrah map, there are some small new areas that have opened up. Now that you have completed 5 of the 6 Tier 3 Missions for the Redacted faction, you will find yourself heading to three of these new areas to complete the Story Mission:Excavation.

Excavation is the Tier 3 Story Mission of the Redacted faction and, like many other missions, consists of three main objectives. To complete Excavation you will need tofind and read the Sniper Team’s Note,take the 3 tracking devices from the Al Bagra Fortress Dead Drop, and thenplant the 3 tracking devices at the entrances of the Al Mazrah bunkers. Doing so will reward you with the Shadow Warrior operator skin, along with an additional 20,000 XP.
Finding & Reading The Sniper Team’s Note
The first step to completing Excavation is tofind and read the Sniper Team’s Note, an item that has been on Al Mazrah since Season 1 - but has not served a purpose until now. The Sniper Team Note can befound on the law firm building in Al Mazrah City- the one that closely resembles Highrise.Head to the balcony portion on the right side of the building, and you willfind the note beneath a metal staircase. You may also come across a TAQ-56 in this area.
Pick up the note to fulfill the first objective.
If youcannot find the Sniper Team Notein the area described above, thenanother operator has already taken it. Failure to eliminate the player in possession of the note may result in you having tocomplete this first portion in a separate deployment.
To complete the second objective of Excavation, you will need toloot the 3 tracking devices from the Al Bagra Fortress Dead Drop. Many of you may be familiar with this particular Dead Drop, as you will have already visited this location when completingTrain Tracksand Follow Instructions. The Dead Drop can be found on theeastern portion of Al Bagra Fortress, just between two buildings.
Open up the dumpster and take out the tracking devices to fulfill the second objective.

Planting The 3 Tracking Devices At The Bunker Entrances
The third and final objective requires you toplant the 3 tracking devices on the Al Mazrah bunker entrances, the locations of which are fairly conspicuous. You can do this in any order, but the first bunker is located within theunderground parking lot in Al Mazrah City, justwest of the law firm buildingyou visited for the first step. Once you are in the parking lot,face east, and you will come across aset of doors leading to a long corridor.
Head down the corridorand progress to the second set of doors. Here you will find a staircase that descends further underground. If youhead down the first and second flights of stairs, you will encounter abrick wall that has a couple of orange markings on it. This is the bunker entrance. Simply place down the first tracker to secure mission progress.
The second bunker entrance can be foundunderneath the bridge to the east of Taraq Village. If you head underneath this bridge, you will come across an opening on the side that leads toward Al Mazrah City, which is home to a small room. Thebunker entrance can be found on the right-hand side of this room- and is again identified as amarked brick wall.
Plant the second tracker to secure mission progress.
The third bunker entrance is located within theunderpass at the center of Rohan Oil- a fairly contested location that is heavily guarded by Al Qatala soldiers. Once you are in the underpass,head to the section that faces the eastside of Rohan Oil. Here you will encounter ashutter door, which remains slightly open, providing you with just enough space tocrawl through underneath.
Upon heading underneath the shutter door, you will find yourself within agarage section of the underpass. Thebunker entrance can be found on the left-hand sideof this area - and again can be identified as amarked brick wall in between two shelving units. Place down the third and final tracker to complete the Excavation Faction Mission.
If you areeliminated at any point before you have planted all three trackers,then you will have toobtain them again from the Al Bagra Fortress Dead Dropin a separate deployment - unless you happen to have a Secure Backpack. However, the progress you have made so far will still carry over.
