A new trailer forVampire Survivorsconfirms that its newest update will arrive tomorrow, February 9th. The new patch will bring a new challenge stage as well as two new relics and three new achievements. This will be a free content update for all players, regardless of the post-launch expansion.
The relics coming to Vampire Survivors with tomorrow’s patch, which has been dubbed as the ‘Chaos Update’, will grant players a new power-up, but it remains unknown what that power-up is supposed to be. As you may already know, relics can be picked up from the new stages you unlock in the game. Once collected, each relic adds either a new gameplay mechanic or a feature to the game.

The two new relics included in the update are Charm and Chaos Malachite. The former increases enemies' spawn quantity by 20 per rank (with a maximum of over 100) and can be activated before starting a new stage. The latter is a specific passive ability for Mortaccio that allows them to morph when reaching level 80.
Bat County is the name of the new challenge stage where players will face multiple variants of bats on a map that has been restricted by destructible blocks, making it hard to escape from the hordes of bats if you don’t grind for the right tools.
The final part of the trailer for the Chaos Update includes a mysterious scene where the screen gets spammed by the relic and item icons as the player chooses to buy Max Eggs. It is yet to be seen what this scene is hinting at, but the video’s description on YouTube teases “something special” coming with Chaos Update.
Update 1.3 will be launched on February 9th for PC and Xbox consoles as well as mobile versions. For now, the developer has not revealed any plans to launch the game on PlayStation consoles or Nintendo Switch.
