Rainbow Six Extraction is another Ubisoft game coming to Steam on June 15 after remaining exclusive to the Epic Games Store for one year. It is a new take on the usual Tom Clancy action, requiring players to build a squad to face an evolving alien threat. Rainbow Six Extraction will be available in two editions, with the deluxe version offering a buddy pass, an obscura pack, and a noxious touch pack with new headgear and weapons. Players will have access to a wide array of operators, gadgets, and dynamic maps to enjoy with friends in cooperative mode.

After a four-year hiatus due to a decision to put new releases on the Epic Games Store, Ubisoft’s return to Steam began with Assassin’s Creed Valhalla back in December 2022. Afterward, Anno 1800 and Roller Champions were added to the platform in the same month. Ubisoft first abandoned Steam in 2019 in favor of its own storefront, but the main reason was always said to be its exclusivity deal with Epic Games Store, which began with the release of Division 2. The company decided to build a long-term business strategy with Epic, a direct competitor of Steam, which was reportedly taking less of a cut from game sales at that time.
