Elden Ringplayers know well enough how this world is so huge that it becomes noticeably hard for them to uncover all the truths about each of its characters. Yet they have been trying to do so one by one. As things unfold, the whole story of this game becomes clear. FromSoftware hardly makes these things easy anyway; they like it when their fans dig through this stuff.

Bloodborne

They did a similar thing withBloodborne, too. A number of who’s and what’s of that game still remain a mystery to this very day. But it looks like one of the fans of both of these games have decided to find an answer on their own. As a result, fans have come up with some very ridiculous theories connectingBloodborneandElden Ring. This is what one such fan did; they connected these two worlds in a very curious manner.

A new fan theory suggestsBloodborneandElden Ringhave a very deep connection

Bloodborneis a dark and gritty game set in a Victorian-era city called Yharnam. In this game, players play the role of a hunter who is tasked with hunting a bunch of monsters that prey on humankind.

Bloodborne had a very small and unusual hub world. The developers decided to name this hub Hunter’s Dream. In this place, players are able to get some rest and even level up. Eventually, they are also able to upgrade their weapons and equipment.

At one point, players even find an abandoned workshop where they find a bunch of trinkets. Eventually, it is revealed that a hunter built up that dream from scratch. This means building even more things in that dream is a possibility.

A new theory from afan named Flunkiebubssuggests that the wholeElden Ringmight just be built inside a dream. This theory effectively connects these two blockbuster games.

“I believe that The Lands Between is The Dream from Bloodborne, they are both ephemeral realms that blur the line between life and death, and they are both home to the previously mentioned extradimensional entities. Entering The Lands Between is referred to as “Crossing the fog” – I believe that crossing the fog is a metaphor for sleep, The Lands Between is a higher plane of being that can only be reached through dreams.”

It’s without a doubt a very intriguing theory. Who would have thought someone would decide there’s a connection betweenBloodborneand its massive cousin,Elden Ring? After all, in most ways, these games can’t be more different.

One of them is, as mentioned above, a horror soulslike title set in a creepy atmospheric city known as Yharnam. The player character enters that world in search of a cure for a disease, but they get entangled in the hunt that is going on in this area.

On the other hand, the player character enters the Lands Between, which is the main setting forElden Ring. They have no purpose and no grace, but someone comes, and they put players on a path to becoming Elden lords. These two worlds cannot be any more different, yet this theory holds some truth to it.

Rest would only be confirmed by the game’s director,Hidetaka Miyazaki, someday. Let’s see how long it takes him to disclose more information about connections between all of their games.

Will theShadow of the Erdtreereveal something in relation to this theory?

Shadow of the Erdtree would be released very soon, and players everywhere would then be able to explore a brand-new area and discover a bunch of new characters and theories through it.
