Recently, some reports on the internet suggest that a Season 2 ofTokyo Revengersis in production, and here’s everything you need to know about it.
Tokyo Revengersis one of the most popular Japanese manga series by Ken Wakui. Millions of fans loved the series for its story and complicated characters. The first seasonTokyo Revengersanime adaptation by Liden Films came out earlier this year in April.
The studio aired the final episode of Season 1 in September 2021, which concluded at a frustrating cliffhanger. So, immediately after the finale, fans who couldn’t wait for season 2 rushed to read the manga series. However, most fans are still waiting for Liden Films to announce Season 2.
Liden Films Might Annnounce Tokyo Revengers Season 2 Soon
Liden Films has yet to officially announce Season 2 ofTokyo Revengers; however, according to an article byYahoo News Japan, the second season of the anime series is already in production. And interestingly, if the reports are accurate, we might hear something from the creators by the end of this year.
According to Yahoo News Japan, the confirmation onTokyo RevengersSeason 2 came from Tatsuhisa Suzuki’s office. For the unacquainted, Tatsuhisa Suzuki is the voice actor who played Draken in the first season ofTokyo Revengers. Unfortunately, the voice actor went on Hiatus after being accused of an extramarital affairearlier this year in June.
As a result, Tatsuhisa was replaced by Yuichiro Umehara as the VA for Anos inThe Misfit of the Demon King Academyanime adaptation. So, when asked about the VA’sTokyo Revengersrole, Tatsuhisa Suzuki’s office commented that Season 2 of the anime is in production. However, as of now, the agency is not appointing Tatsuhisa for Draken’s voice.
Anyway, we can’t be sure about anything regardingTokyo Revengersseason 2 and Draken’s VA until we hear something from Liden Films. The good news is that if the reports are true, we might get an official announcement in a few weeks.
