A few years back, ahead of the release ofSpider-Man: No Way Home, Tom Holland and Zendaya weighed in on actors who would fit the bill to play Harry Osborn in the MCU. As Spider-Man’s best friend and arch-enemy, the character has played a pivotal role in the legacy of the webbed superhero. According to Holland and Zendaya, Timothée Chalamet was perfectly cut out for the part.

At just 28 years old,Timothée Chalametalready has an eclectic repertoire of films under his belt. From critically acclaimed performances inCall Me By Your NameandBeautiful Boyto entering the commercial space withDuneandWonka, Chalamet has proved that he can straddle both worlds seamlessly.
In 2021, during the promotions ofSpider-Man: No Way Home, theLittle Womenstar’s name came up in an interview with the film’s central leadsTom Hollandand Zendaya who both believed that he would be a perfect fit in theMCU. In a chat withAP Entertainment, Holland pitted Chalamet as an ideal candidate for Peter Parker’s friend and enemy, Harry Osborn.

“He’d be a good Harry Osborn… I think it would be good to bring him in as a FOS (friend of Spider-Man), and then he kind of becomes bad. And then he could be a villain. He’d be a good villain.”
Interestingly, Chalamet revealed that he auditioned for the role of Peter Parker forSpider-Man Homecoming,which turned out to be a forgettable one by the actor’s own admission. Having also confessed that he was a huge fan of the character and the franchise, Marvel fans are already imagining the possibility of talented star getting on board at some point.
