The series has its fair share of moments that stay with the audience no matter how many years may have passed. It could be about Aizen’s big reveal or the first time fans saw Byakuya Kuchiki unleash his Bankai. The mangaka has worked extremely hard towards making his project iconic. However, there is one particular sequence that is just the cherry on top.

Bleach’s Most Highlighting Moment

Out of all the fights that have been featured inBleach, there is one that is just stunning in many ways than one. It wasn’t just visually appealing but it also held a lot of value in the purpose of showcasing Ichigo’s own mental conflicts. While Ulquiorra is regarded as one of the best villains of the series,Tite Kuboalso went above and beyond in giving the character immense depth.

This is why his fight against Ichigo became such a turning point. It wasn’t just a Soul Reaper against a monster but a monster against another monster. Ulquiorra became someone who was able to land a fatal blow on Ichigo, incidentally also killing him in the process. While one would expect the fight to end there, things took a drastic turn.

Ulquiorra’s win was only the trigger for Ichigo’s Hollow to take over. Once that came into the picture, it was one menacing force against the other. Ichigo Hollow was in control and the destruction caused in its wake was something that left an impact on everyBleachfan.

Monster vs Monster

Both Ichigo and Ulquiorra have a soft spot for Orihime. While Ichigo and Orihime’s relationship had been teased since the start ofBleach,Ulquiorra’s fascination with her had a lot to do with how different she was from him. Their opposing mindsets and morals created this sense of curiosity within the character that had many fans wondering if perhaps he was in love with her.

As Ichigo and his fight starts to get worse in many manners, the disregard for their surroundings makes it conflicting about who is more concerned about Orihime’s presence. While Ichigo died in an attempt to protect Orihime, the Hollow he turned into seemed a lot more chaotic, and Ulquiorra too seemed to be on guard if he were to pose a threat to her.

However, things weren’t just centered around her. The Hollow was so consumed by his own purpose that Orihime’s significance to Ichigo mattered little to his transformed manner. Both Ulquiorra and he were fighting for their lives, every blow meant to be a fatal one. The fight sequence left a big impact on the fans and will forever be marked as one of the best of the series.

Bleachis available to watch on Hulu.
