The Straw Hat Pirates’ experience of the mysterious Elbaph islands inOne Piecehas been filled with excitement and thrill since the beginning. From allies to enemies, Elbaph has seen the introduction of almost every important character who is going to add more substance to the storyline and potentially the war that is currently brewing.

One suchOne Piececharacter who has deemed herself to be the perfect opponent for the swordsman of the Straw Hat Pirates, Roronoa Zoro, has also started making progress in the story. This character is none other than Gunko, the mysterious woman who entered the Elbaph Castle along with Evil Shanks, in search of Loki, the accursed prince of Elbaph.
The spoilers for the recent chapter gave a detailed description of Gunko’s Devil Fruit abilities, and by the looks of it, this mysterious ability fits perfectly with one running gag of Zoro’s character inOne Piece. This gag is Zoro’s inability to understand or follow the simplest of directions inOne Piece.

Gunko’s Devil Fruit abilities revealed inOne Piecechapter 1137
The detailed summary spoilers ofOne Piecechapter 1137 recently hit the internet, and while they gave a decent explanation about Elbaph’s history, they also shed some light on the mysteriousGod Knights who entered the Elbaphcastle. The chapter revealed the physical look and name of Evil Shanks, and it revealed the Devil Fruit abilities of Gunko, which were already hinted at in chapter 1136.
One Piece Theory: Figarland Garling’s Mythical Zoan Devil Fruit is a Norse Mythology Monster Called the Harbinger of Ragnarok
According to the chapter, her Devil Fruit is the Aro Aro no Mi, which grants her the ability to convert any part of her clothing into arrows, which she can use according to her own preference. These arrows are extremely powerful, and they help Gunko reach places by letting her walk on them. TheOne Piecespoilers explained that she managed to knock out Loki with her Devil Fruit abilities.
Considering the fact that she is a God Knight, it is safe to say that this Devil Fruit might hold some other mysterious abilities, and if it can knock Loki out, it might be extremely lethal. One Piecefans will have to wait to find out more about Gunko and her Devil Fruit abilities in the story.

Zoro would be the perfect opponent for Gunko
While it has not been officially confirmed byEiichiro Oda, it looks like Roronoa Zoro will be challenging Gunko in the Elbaph arc. There are two different reasons behind this, and both of them make absolute sense. The first one is the running gag about Zoro not being able to understand directions at all.
As fans know,Zoro can’t even walk in a straight linewithout getting lost, and because of this, anything connected to directions confuses him.

Gunko’s Devil Fruit in a way draws parallels with directions and thus would fit perfectly with Zoro’s character and make a great storyline for their battle inOne Piece.
“Loki was there when he died”: Loki Is Not the Villain We All Thought, Luffy’s Team-up With Loki Makes Sense in This One Piece Theory
Secondly, Gunko is next in command to Evil Shanks, and considering the fact that Evil Shanks will be Luffy’s opponent, it would make sense for Gunko to fight Zoro. This way, Oda can follow his tradition of pitting the strongest opponents against the strongest characters of the Straw Hat Pirates inOne Piece.
