He recently took to X to applaud the filmmaker for his fabulous work on the upcoming superhero flick. Liefeld praised Levy’s work in the industry before adding“…but Deadpool Wolverine is next level for him.”He went on to state that every single shot in the film is“perfect”and even though he has been a successful filmmaker for the last twenty years, it isDeadpool 3that is going to turn all the heads around.

Ryan Reynolds Wouldn’t Have DoneDeadpool 3Without Shawn Levy
It looks like Reynolds knew right from the start that Levy would go on to do wonders for the film. In a recent interview withDeadline, the filmmaker revealed that theRed Noticeactor told him that he wouldn’t return to play Deadpool in the third film if Levy didn’t direct.

He stated,
It was on the set of Adam Project that Ryan told me he only wanted to do Deadpool 3 if I directed it. And I remember him going, ‘I know, I know, you’re going to say no.’ And I’m like, ‘I’m not gonna say no. I’m definitely saying yes.’

This was even before Jackman decided to board theDeadpool 3bandwagon, which according to Levy was the greatest gift imaginable.
And that was before I knew we would get the greatest gift imaginable for a Deadpool movie, which is Hugh Jackman saying, ‘I’m in. I want in.’
While this is Levy’s third collaboration with Reynolds afterFree GuyandThe Adam Project,he also worked with Jackman inReal Steel(2011).
Deadpool 3will be released in theatres on June 08, 2025.
