It is a crazy time in Hollywood as one of the most powerful couples in the film industry is now embroiled in a battle of legal and ‘public opinion’ that might destroy their reputation for good. Of course, we are talking about Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, who have just been hit by a lawsuit from Justin Baldoni for allegedly trying to defame him and a bunch of other things.

In addition to counterclaims and proving a ‘fuller picture’ to what Lively claimed in her lawsuit against him, alleging him of s*xual harassment, Baldoni’s latest lawsuit also shares screenshots of their conversation regarding the alleged fat-shaming accusations that went viral last year.
Did Justin Baldoni really fat-shame Blake Lively?
Back in August 2024, TMZ ran a story of how there were issues on the It Ends With Us set, and rumors that the actor-directorJustin Baldonihad madeBlake Livelyfeel uncomfortable. As per the report, Baldoni had apparently asked his on-set trainer to ask how much his co-star weighed since he had to lift her up in one scene.
Having had a history of back problems he just wanted to train himself enough to protect himself from any potential injury. Apparently, Lively felt such comments were fat-shaming to her. However, in the recent lawsuit that Baldoni has filed against Lively and her husbandRyan Reynolds, the179-page complaintreveals what went down during this event.

Back in August, Blake Lively leaked to the press that Justin Baldoni had fat-shamed her. In response, Ryan Reynolds brought Justin to his home and berated him in front of others for his comments. As per the complaint, Baldoni did reach out to his on-set trainer about the same and even had a diet and exercise routine for that. Moreover, Baldoni was allegedly summoned to the penthouse by Lively, where her husband Reynolds accused him of fat-shaming his wife and confronting him leading Baldoni to offer unwarranted apologies. The scene was furthermore cut from the film upon the couple’s insistence despite Lively claiming in her lawsuit that such a scene never existed (seeThe New York Times).

Moreover, according to Baldoni’s complaint, when Lively displayed insecurity about her postpartum body, Baldoni assured her that she was fine and that they would even alter the schedule to accommodate her. Lively then thanked him for being understanding.
Justin Baldoni’s latest lawsuit against Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds
Right after Blake Lively filed her s*xual assault lawsuit against Justin Baldoni, the filmmaker fired back by suing the New York Times which first reported the actress’ complaint. His lawyer Bryan Freedman had promised at that time that more lawsuits would be filed in the upcoming weeks.

This recent lawsuit touches upon the many claims and allegations that Lively made in her own lawsuit and features screenshots of texts and more proof. While Lively’s team has denied all such claims (viaVariety), Freedman has also hinted that he will be suing Baldoni’s former publicist Stephanie Jones who turned over the texts to Lively’s team.
