New footage of upcomingGray Zone Warfaredeveloped by Madfinger Games is out and while it’s still raw gameplay, it will remind the players of some popular shooter titles available now. For a developmental stage, the game looks promising as graphics are eye-catching given it is built using Unreal Engine 5. But for the gameplay mechanics, there is much work to be done if it is entering the same arena asEscape From TarkovandCall of Duty.

Though there’s no official release date for the game, it is likely to come this year only according to the details on its Steam page. For now, it appears like a cakewalk as far as enemies are concerned but the team has said they’ll incorporate some AI-based behavior which may make the game more challenging.
Gray Zone Warfare Looks Appealing In Its First Encounter, Especially Compared to Call of Duty
Fans couldn’t keep their calm as the new footage explored the large map settled in Lamang, based on a real-world location. Players begin the mission with a chopper picking and dropping them after flying for a short distance. “What a waste of fuel just to fly the lads 500 meters” says a user in the comments.
Guns were especially noteworthy as they didn’t actually give off the looks of a real weapon. A user called MrRobisj was quick to notice it and wrote, “Guns are so small, they look like toys.” Maybe that’s also a part of the development, If not, then the game developers are already looking at something that may kill player’s interest.

Call of Duty’s Season 2 Reloaded Update has Buffed and Broken One Weapon – Use it Whilst You Can!
However, the developers have already said that they “are eager to listen to our community’s feedback and align with your expectations and preferences.” So here goes the feedback and hopefully they’ll juice up those weapons upon the full release.
There Are a Lot of Things For Devs To Take Into Account
The environment sounds in the early access game are something praiseworthy in a way as fans noted them more than they observed the gameplay. “Crazy that the frogs are louder than the guns,” said killerdavid4. Another user called notrealpixel chimed in, “nature sound effects 200%.” Gun sounds need more polishing though as more users highlighted.
Wisdomisgood448 says, “Guns need to be louder with more of a punch – they just sound off right now.” In contrast to games likeCall of Duty,Battlefield,Metro Exodus, and more,Gray Zone Warfareis pretty much behind. However, given it is still in early access, we should not be quick to judge it.

“I’m paying attention to those elements as a creator”: Escape from Tarkov Seems to be an Unlikely Source of Inspiration for Elden Ring Creator Hidetaka Miyazaki’s Next Project
Developers of the game have already plans set up in place for its full release. From diverse biomes to dynamic weather, they appear to be all in on attention to details. For now, players can observe and point out the aspects of improvement they believe can be emphasized by the developers.
