The actress revealed that when the 2012 films were being made, the script and the filming were like a puzzle.; every piece had a place, and there was a specific way things had to be. While such an approach made sure that the film was successful, it did not give the actors creative freedom.

Emma Stone then talked about how the second film gave them more privilege to experiment with their actors. She was able to see what approach she wanted to take with Gwen Stacy and execute it to her liking. Stone then specifically talked about her character’s arc inThe Amazing Spider-Man 2

“Here, it felt like there was more freedom and more expansion. Also, this is the part of Gwen’s story I was so excited to get into. I thought they kind of executed it in a beautiful way. Executed being a very choice word [laughs]. But I thought they did that really well.”
