By now, everyone has heard about the chaotic Willy Wonka “event” in Glasgow, Scotland that has left parents furious and children traumatized. Chocolate lovers were promised a “fantasy like never before” but the reality was something out of a nightmare as they were greeted with an almost empty warehouse, police officers instead of Oompa Loompas, and a scary “unknown” character that scared the living daylights out of kids.
As horrific as all of that certainly was, aThe Simsfan has taken it upon themselves to recreate the entire shambolic experience in the game and the results are brilliantly, and hilariously, spot on.

Willy Wonka? More Like Willy Wonky
Leave it to the gaming community to take something absolutely ridiculous and turn it into something creatively fantastic. X user (formally Twitter)TW!?K, a 21-year-old actor, decided that the only place something as absurd as the surreal Glaswegian “Willy Wonka Experience” belonged was somewhere equally fantastical and that’s in a video game.
Not only did he design to perfection the barren warehouse that looks like something out of a low-budget horror movie with a creepy teddy bear and rainbow bridge but he also created a sim to replicate the sad Oompa-Loompa actress from the event, complete with “science lab” equipment.

The comments under the post have been thanking TW!?K for his service in crafting this tongue-in-cheek, yet outlandishly tragic, creation in The Sims, while others asked how long it took to get the entire thing together. In response, TW!?K replied “30 whole minutes of my Wednesday night”, which prompted the witty reply, “You probably spent more time making this than they put into the event”.
Of course, everyone had been asking where the main attraction of The Unknown was which then provided a few comical remarks, like “Plotting his next evil scheme against Wonka in the walls”, “He’s living in the walls of somewhere in time” and “he’s in dead by daylight”.

“At this rate, there’s going to be an entire fandom for this botched scam, which is hilarious to me”- saidWaferBreak
Actress Kirsty Paterson, who was hired for the event as a ”science lab” Oompa Loompa and pictured looking totally fed up and sad, told the Independentthat the whole event was “shocking” and “embarrassing” for her. “The whole thing’s just been a complete and utter shambles. It was shocking honestly,” Kirsty said.“I was angry at the time because I felt like this is embarrassing for me, and I felt bad for the people coming in as well.”
