The same goes withTommy Lee Jones. Known as one of the veterans in Hollywood, the actor is famous for his portrayals of law-enforcement officials, military men, and cowboys. Most fans would remember him from theMen in Blackfranchise. For him to be involved in a movie so heavily slammed by fans and critics was definitely a rash decision.

Perhaps the appearance of the two A-listers in this movie was its only selling point. Many fans watched it because of the dynamite cast, but they left the movie theatres feeling bummed about the whole story. OnRotten Tomatoes, it received a devastating 29% approval rating.
Brian Helgeland Had Been Planning to MakeFinestkindfor 25 Years
During Helgeland’s interview withCollider, he opened up about the development ofFinestkind. He said that the project had been brewing for 25 years, and he’d written different versions of it since he was in film school.
I never thought it was gonna get made. Everything I’ve made always got made within the first couple of years after it was written.
Producer Gary Foster told the outlet that Helgeland was one of Sheridan’s favorite writers and he loved the script that he approved its making.

The catastrophic fate of the movie left an indelible mark not only on Helgeland’s career but on its cast members as well. It has already made a stain on Ortega’s and Jones’ filmography, and they cannot afford any more of this.
