With the introduction of new characters to the series, the story of The Eminence in Shadow is ramping up with every episode. Furthermore, the preview of the next episode promises even more entertainment. It will feature the Bushin Festival Tournament, organized by the Midgar Academy of Dark Arts. Cid can be seen sandbagging the events, so he looks ordinary despite the fact that he can easily surpass others. The upcoming episode will also introduce us to Rose Oriana, Cid’s opponent in the fencing event.
Last time on The Eminence in Shadow…
The fake Shadow Garden starts committing crimes. Meanwhile, Iris gives the cult relic to Sherry, considering her the most brilliant researcher. Cid is taken to a departmental store, where he finds out Gamma has opened a departmental store to support Shadow Garden with branches all over the world.
Cid still believes Gamma is role-playing, unaware that Gamma has become one of the wealthiest people in the world. Later Cid meets Alexia, who’s fighting murderers. Cid helps her eliminate them, and one of the murderers is handed over to Nu for interrogation purposes. Gaunt Knight, the boss of the murderers, confirms the location of the relic, and Alexia tells Cid that Shadow Garden is not the real murderer. But Iris still believes Shadow Garden is their foe.
Skell and Po confess to different girls, but the former is punished by her fiancé, while the latter is arrested for being a stalker. Cid then decides to give the remaining chocolates to someone, who turns out to be Sherry. Sherry’s father mistakes the gift as a love confession from Cid to Sherry, and he asks her daughter to give him the answer quickly, so he doesn’t have to wait long.
