Fntastichas released a new teaser trailer for its upcoming post-apocalyptic survival game,The Day Before, but the trailer is already being called “a joke” by fans.
The short teaser trailer is only a little over 30 seconds long, but that was enough for many to slam the trailer for being rather unusual. The trailer, which can be seen below, shows an establishing shot of a desolate city before cutting to a speeding sports car racing between the empty skyscrapers. The music blaring in the background is something more reminiscent of a Need For Speed trailer, as opposed to what is meant to be a survival game.

The trailer was revealed exclusively toWellPlayed, but many of the responses were far from positive. The comments pointed out how they “love” their survival games with sports cars, whilst one user dubbed it as a “survival masterpiece,” but they were, of course, being sarcastic.
Other users questioned whether or not the latest trailer was a joke, while somebody else commented, “Why is a post apocalyptic game advertised like its the next Forza. This is the strangest trailer ever.” As you can imagine, the responses continue to go on and on.
Fntastic also sat down withWellPlayedto discuss The Day Before in more detail, as well as the ongoing legal issues surrounding the game’s name. Earlier this year, the studio was forced todelay The Day Before by nine monthsafter the game was pulled from Steam “at the request of a private individual.”
When asked for an update on the situation, Fntastic said its “primary focus remains on the development of the game itself” and trademark issues are being handled by The Day Before’s “newly-formed New Zealand joint venture” MytonaFntastic. The studio also reassured fans that The Day Before’s Steam store page will be reinstated soon, saying “we’ll be back at the top of the wishlists.”
After numerous delays, The Day Before is now targeting a release date of November 10th for PC.
