This new RTX trailer serves as a montage showcasing locations where players will fight against waves of zombies, including claustrophobic places, squares, streets, and retail stores. The Day Before can utilize the latest revision of Nvidia’s evolving AI, DLSS 3.0, which creates new frames to insert in between existing ones to improve the PC’s performance without putting extra load on the graphics card. What sets DLSS 3 apart from its predecessors is the Optical Flow Accelerator feature, which can increase the frame rate while maintaining image accuracy.
The Day Before was originally set for a release in June 2022. However, it was delayed to March 1st of 2023 as the team shifted to Unreal Engine 5, leading players to speculate that the game is in development hell. According to its official description, The Day Before is a survival MMO game set in a post-pandemic America overrun by flesh-eating infected and desperate survivors. The massive open-world shooter game has players scavenging for resources, collecting food, and crafting weapons to survive. Players will search abandoned houses, skyscrapers, and streets while hunting the infected with a wide array of weapons.
Additionally, the game is not only about crushing zombies, as players can also take part in different colonies to help them build a society. The Day Before is due to release for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam on March 1st, 2023.
