Marvel’s gigantic box office weekend is here with the worldwide release ofDeadpool & Wolverine. Die-hard fans are hoping that this film gives the franchise a much-needed facelift amidst recent failures. In addition, there is the excitement of seeing the two lead actors Ryan Reynolds and Huge Jackman share great chemistry on screen.

The film is also touted to have a whole bunch of interesting cameos that fans are eagerly looking forward to. As of now, fans already know that Dafne Keen’s X-23, Aaron Stanford’s Pyro, and Lady Deadpool are part of the star-studded guest lineup. Marvel head Kevin Feige who was initially reluctant to reveal Keen’s presence, ultimately changed his mind owing to the actor’s desire to be at the premiere. But fans are not looking at this as a spoiler in any way.
Kevin Feige Justified His Revelation of Dafne Keen’s Cameo inDeadpool & Wolverine
There is a lot riding on Marvel’s massive summer filmDeadpool & Wolverine. It looks like Kevin Feige and the team have left no stone unturned in ensuring that this film will signal the resurrection of the franchise. While the two lead starsRyan ReynoldsandHugh Jackmanare expected to do the heavy lifting, the film is also gaining a lot of traction for the multiple cameo appearances reported to feature in the narrative.
In the final trailer of the film, it was revealed thatDafne Keen’s Laura aka X-23who was a pivotal character in 2017’sLogan, will be seen in a cameo. As per original plans though, Feige wasn’t going to make his revelation, but had a sudden change of mind judging by the final trailer a week ahead of the film’s release.

In an interview withVariety,the Marvel head elaborated on why the franchise decided to reveal this information. He stated that it was mainly on Keen’s request to do so. The actor had expressed a desire to walk the red carpet for the premiere, which then wouldn’t have been possible without talking about her presence in the film.

But through further analysis, Feige was convinced that the mention of X-23’s presence was essential as it provided an insight into the ‘emotional core of the movie’, to quote the producer. As it turned out, thefinal trailerseemed to garner a lot of hype, which was the perfect precursor to the film’s release.
In addition, the excitement of seeing several other mutants entering the MCU in various guest appearances, is an event that Marvel fans will be absolutely waiting to witness.

Apart from its lead actors, the film has gained a lot of hype over the past week for a few revelations regarding some high-profile cameos. This includes Dafne Keen’s X-23, whose presence was seen in the final trailer of the film.
While this may be viewed as quite an important spoiler just ahead of the release of the movie, fans aren’t thinking of it in this manner. According to reactions from various netizens on X, Keen’s role is probably the least surprising when considering the various other cameos that are reported to be in the movie.

Agreed. My assumption going in was that she wasn’t Logan’s X-23 but a variant since this is a multiverse movie. The movie was stacked with other characters besides X-23 anyways.

Judging by these responses from fans, Keen’s presence seems to have definitely been predicted with or without the revelation. This has now made fans who are yet to see the film, even more excited to witness the remaining star-studded cameos.
