Teamfight Tacticshas made big changes to traits in Patch 13.3, including a major rework and heavy adjustments. The newest patch also includes updates to rerolls for Hero Augments.

As previously announced by Teamfight Tacticsin a tweet, “larger-scale trait reworks” were transferred from Patch 13.2 to Patch 13.3 in light of the recent cyberattack againstRiot Games. Last week, Teamfight Tactics Lead Designer Stephen Mortimer revealed more of what fans could expect from the next patch: massive changes to Hero Augments. Players are granted four rerolls to secure the ideal Hero Augments for their team composition. With the new refresh system, no Hero Augments will repeat with rerolls, ensuring a fresh batch each time.

In the Teamfight TacticsPatch 13.3 notes, Communications Lead Rodger Caudill gives players a rundown of the various updates. In “System Changes,” the notes provide in-depth details on the Hero Augment revamp. “Large Changes” describes the trait reworks and adjustments, affecting Gadgeteen, OxForce, LaserCorps, and Underground.

Gadgeteen is receiving the big rework, addressing the trait’s inability to perform as well as other traits. “Gadgeteen 3 is okay early game,” Caudill said, “but just like being a teenager, long term planning is not the strong suit of Gadgeteen, and the trait suffers in the mid and late game.” The rework attempts to fix this scaling issue by giving Gadgeteen bonus damage and damage reduction per equipped item. With three Gadgeteen, units with the trait will gain 3% bonus damage and damage reduction per item, and with five Gadgeteen, units with the trait will gain 12% bonus damage and damage reduction per item.

OxForce, LaserCorps, and Underground are also benefiting from major adjustments. For OxForce, units will stay at one health after their temporary invulnerability. Originally a 3/6/9 trait, LaserCorps is now a 3/5/7/9 trait. In addition, the damage dealt and number of drones have also changed from 65/165/200 to 25/45/80/99 damage and 1/1/2 to 1/1/1/2 drones. Like LaserCorps, Underground is also getting a breakpoint update, going from a 3/5 trait to 3/4/5/6. Locks cracked per win and loss have also been increased.

In the latest patch notes, Caudill reminds players that Teamfight Tactics’Lunar New Year event, Lunar Gala, will conclude on February 13. “Be sure to earn all the free loot, grab your last games of Fortune’s Favor, and finally crack that Chibi Panda Annie before the Lunar Gala themed content goes back to the vault,” Caudill said.
