At the start of Stages 2-1, 3-2, and 4-2,Teamfight Tacticsgrants a choice of 3 Augments to upgrade your team. Unlike past Sets, you can reroll each of these Augments individually 1 time per Stage. In addition, the starting left Augment will always be provided by your selected Legend.

Before finding a match of TFT, choose a Legend from the party lobby. There are 15 Legends in all, each giving a guaranteed Augment choice depending on the Augment tier (Silver, Gold, or Prismatic) and the current Stage. But not all Legends are not created equal, these are the top 10.

If Items are your favorite part of TFT, try out the Item Collector Ezreal. With a selection of Buried Treasures available at 2-1, you’ll always have the most Items in the lobby. Granting Components for several rounds (depending on the Augment tier), Ezreal is good for players who like to make use of Items early.

Teamfight Tactics Ezreal

Providing more Components at 3-2 as well as a Magnetic Remover, Reforger, or Lesser Champion Duplicator, Ezreal doubles down on the 2nd Augment. Then, at 4-2, Ez offers Well-Earned Comforts - a gain to unit health for each item they have equipped.

One of the most universally useful Augments is the Jeweled Lotus, giving your Units the chance to Critically Strike with their Abilities. Similar to a Jeweled Gauntlet or Infinity Edge, allowing a Units Abilities to Critically Strike is a huge advantage for most Champions.

Teamfight Tactics Veigar

Not only does Veigar grant Jeweled Lotus early on at 2-1, but The Caster also offers Tiny Power at 3-2 and Ascension at 4-2 to compound the carnage. If you like Champions that deal big damage and huge crits, equip Veigar and hope for a gold or prismatic Augment at 2-1.

Vladimir’s Augments grant Unit Health that scales as your Tactician’s HP drops, increases Champion damage, and reduces incoming damage. When using certain items as the crux of your strategy, these choices can be exactly what you need to win.

Teamfight Tactics Vladimir

When playing a team that uses Dragon’s Claw on a tank or Omnivamp on a carry Champion, Vladimir’s Augments are the best in the game. Dragon’s Claw (2 Negatron Cloaks) regenerates a Unit’s Health and Omnivamp heals the Champion for a portion of the damage they deal (it can be found on Hextech Gunblade, Bloodthirster, and Hand of Justice).

7Aurelion Sol

Aurelion Sol is the high-level Legend that provides additional XP at every Stage. If you know that the first Augment will be prismatic, The Ancient Legend has one of the best in the game - Level Up! Offered at 2-1, Level Up! grants 4 XP immediately as well as an additional 3 XP whenever you buy XP.

Each of the Aurelion Sol Augments grants additional XP and this Legend has three options that allow your Tactician to reach Level 10. If you want to level up fast, look no further and equip Aurelion Sol.

6Master Yi

If you’re planning to build around a Champion that leverages Attack Speed and Mana, Master Yi has everything you need. At 2-1, Master Yi brings Pumping Up I / II / III which offers 8 / 10 / 10% Attack Speed to all Units which increases by 0.5 / 1 / 2% each round (depending on the Augment tier).

Later on in the game at 4-2, Master Yi provides Gotta Go Fast!, an Augment that makes your Units generate 10 / 25 / 25% more Mana and move around the battlefield 20 / 40 / 50% faster.

Teamfight Tactics Aurelion Sol

In nearly every game of Teamfight Tactics, all you need is one more Trait, one more Item, or one last copy of a Champion. Catching the next threshold of Trait bonuses, finishing a Champions Item build, or hitting 3-star on your carry Champ is often the difference between 1st place and last.

If that sounds all too familiar, then Urf is the best Legend for you. Starting the game with an additional Emblem is a great way to have a strong early game. Urf then provides Item Components and Gold at 3-2, followed by more of the same good stuff at 4-2.

Refreshing your Shop is one of the most useful mechanics in TFT. The only thing better than paying to refresh your Shop is doing it for free. Lee Sin has 3 great early-game Augments at 2-1, followed by massive Gold deposits and Champion Duplicators later on.

At 2-1, Lee Sin’ Trade Sector is one of the best gold-tier Augments you can get - gain a free Shop refresh each round. Even if you avoid Lee Sins Augments at 3-2 and 4-2, Trade Sector is strong enough to equip this Legend when you’re rushing 3-star Champions.

Getting an Item Anvil is better than a Birthday present, the option to select your favorite choice makes the Anvil powerful and versatile. When you equip The Forgemaster Ornn, he’ll provide you with additional Anvils on top of any you earn in-game.

At 2-1, Ornn grants you a unique Artifact after 7 combats (silver), right away (gold), or right now and again after every 10 player combats (prismatic). From there the good times just keep on rolling. 3-2 and 4-2 each provide a Component Anvil, Completed Item Anvil, or Ornn Item Anvil and Component Item Anvil.

If all these changes seem like more of a hindrance than a benefit, Poro is the Legend for you. Poro forgoes reserving an Augment slot and lets all the choices be free. Where all other Legends will have a pre-determined Augment, Poro lets you play a classic game of TFT - no tailoring.

If it seems that Poro essentially has no advantage as a Legend, keep in mind that this Legend offers the most flexibility. You still have an opportunity to get every Augment, just with another random chance at them all. This keeps your options open to all Champion compositions with no push to play a certain way.

1Twisted Fate

Twisted Fate has the best 2-1 Stage Augments in the game (Pandora’s Items), even the silver variant is amazing. Every tier of Pandora’s Items will randomize all Components and Items on your bench, every round. This gives you countless opportunities to perfect your itemization.

The Gambler’s other Augment Stages also grant Items, but the major benefit of Twisted Fate is in his 2-1 Augment. Select any Items from the Carousel or Anvils for the rest of the game because even if they don’t fit your build now, they will eventually.
