If you were a fan of the puzzling shooter (can you call it that?) from2016, Superhot, and maybe even theVR version, you’ll be pleased to know that the next entry in the series,Superhot: Mind Control Deleteis launching this month on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
Superhot: Mind Control Deletehas been in an Early Access state for several years now and was originally planned to launch as a free expansion. However, the introduction of so many new features has seen it become its own standalone title with no need to own the original game.
The new installment will find players trawling through the system once again, battling enemies and making use of new mechanics, new weapons, new enemies, and is said to be 4x larger than the original. Players also go through levels uncovering mysteries, cores, and hacks.
Developer SUPERHOT Team has clarified that those who ownSuperhotwill be gettingSuperhot: Mind Control Deletefor free. That means that over 2 million copies of the game are being given away simply because the developer is grateful for its community. Players will only be eligible for a free copy ofMind Control Deleteproviding they purchased the original, so gettingSuperhotfrom giveaways and such does not count.
PC users will have the game automatically added to their Steam account, GOG account, or Epic Games Store account. PS4 users will also find the game automatically added to their library within a few days after launch. Xbox players will get a token in the form of an official Xbox message, so keep eyes on your inbox. Also, if you purchased the game on the Nintendo Switch, if you provide proof of purchase to the SUPERHOT Team, they’ll send you a free-DRM PC version ofMind Control Delete. More information is provided in theofficial FAQ.
