There are a ton of different moves to perform throughoutStreet Fighter 6, from Normal moves, Supers, and Throws — just to name a few. WhileCritical Artsmay get more attention than Special Moves, players will be making use of Special Moves a lot more frequently.

These moves come in all manner of forms, each with their own level of effectiveness and how they fit into the moveset of the playable character they belong to. Having a powerful, heavy-hitting Special Move can be intrinsic to putting an opponent into the ideal spot for a much more devastating combo to connect.
10Blanka-Chan Bomb
Blanka is not one of the most competitive characters in the game at the moment, but that could change with the potential for balance patches and character reworks being announced at any given time.
Blanka-Chan Bomb sees Blanka place a small little sphere on the ground that you can then use another Special Move to charge it up and turn it onto a hazard for your opponents to throw them off their game. More skilled players will be able to play around this with experience playing against Blanka.
This Special Move is part of Marisa’s Moveset. Marisa is one of the new characters and is all about hitting really hard, rather than being one of the faster and more acrobatic combatants. This move simply has your roll the move stick from down towards your opponent and kick.
This lets you surprise them with a strong thrusting kick that can get you much closer to them and out of where they may want you. It is also reminiscent of the iconic 300 Spartan kick scene.
8Jinrai Kick
This move may seem simplistic at first, but what makes it shine is how it can be extended into multiple different moves to put opponents where you want them. The move is part of Ken’s Moveset and allows him to perform a roundhouse kick while moving forward into his opponent.

This move can be extended for one of three follow-up kicks that can position their foe into a distance where they are less effective, giving the player more control over the fight.
7Somersault Kick
Somersault Kick is a Special Move that is featured in the moveset of Guile. This may seem very bland and generic compared to the other entries on this list, but this is very simple to pull off and will be a consistent means to punish any opponent trying to close the distance between you.
Even better is if your opponent is in the air, since this kick is invincible against all jumping attacks. This allows you to strike your opponent at close range without any risk of being hit by your airborne foe.
6Departure
This is a very sinister move and fits very nicely into the moveset of JP, both thematically and fitting his style of gameplay. This move lets you create a small overhead portal. What makes it sinister is how the user can follow up with the portal in different ways.
They can fire off a projectile from the point of the portal, or they can teleport themselves to it to either get into a better position against their opponent, or avoid one of their opponent’s attacks. This makes it an extremely versatile and dangerous move.
5Sonic Blade
Another move from Guile’s Moveset. This can be one of the most frustrating Special Moves for a lot of players to deal with when they don’t have a character better suited to countering it.
This move places an extremely slow-moving projectile that can act as a dangerous hazard for any other player moving into that area, it can also make opponents take a step back and give you some space when you want to create some distance. This move offers a ton of control.
4Flash Knuckle
Luke has a similar arsenal to that of Ryu, but while Ryu is more versatile and Ken pushes enemies away, Luke is all about getting really up close and personal to be effective. Especially when their opponents are in the corner with them. Flash Knuckle can be performed with either MP or HP, with the HP version dealing more damage.

Flash Knuckle will push Luke very close and putting him where he is very effective. With how easy he is to play, this makes it a very dangerous move to be open against, and players should take precautions against it. Luke is one of thebest characters for new comersto learn all the mechanics of the game.
3Borscht Dynamite
This is an utterly devastating Special Move and is part of Zangief’s moveset. This Special Move allows you to grapple an opponent midair, making it a great anti-aerial tool for Zangief’s arsenal.
Experienced players will be less likely to jump near Zangief due to the threat of this Special Move. Zangief will swat his opponent midair, grab them and then take off spinning into the air, only to come crashing down into the ground below with their head between his knees.
2Tundra Storm
Another Zangief Special Move, it allows him to counter against his opponents. When the opponent attempts to hit Zangief, this Special Move stops their attack and turns it into a throw for Zangief against them. This Special Move can only be used against certain attacks, but it has a very large amount of damage.
This can shut down any combos your opponent may have that involve their grounded kicks. Animation-wise, Zangief will pose both his arms and ready himself for the opponent’s kick, only to grab their leg and pull them into the ground.
1Sonic Cross
This move is an extension from Guile’s previous move, Sonic Blade. While Sonic Blade is active, you can easily perform this move to fire a projectile safely from the other side. It’s like having a sword and shield at the same time and is great for pressuring opponents that are weary of the Sonic Blade that is active in front of them.
This is also great if your opponent is descending and they are a bit far to be hit by the Sonic Blade, allowing this extension to hit them before they are able to defend themselves. This incredible moveset is what makes Guilethe best characterin the game.
