Tantalum (Ta) is arare tier 2 resourcethat is most commonly used to craft a host of weapon mods to increase the effectiveness of guns. Players can find this mineral by either mining it directly from a planet or moon’s surface or buying it from select vendors.

Which Planets Have Tantalum
Considering it is only a tier 2 resource, Tantalum is on the rarer end of the spectrum, with only56 planets and moonscontaining this element on their surface. Below are some of the places with the highest concentration of this element.
The Alpha Tirna system is the best place to go to find Tantalum,but it might be easier to visit Tau Ceti for this resource in the early game.
How To Mine Tantalum
Once you’re at a planet or moon with Tantalum deposits, scan it for resources. This will reveal places on the surface with the highest density of Tantalum, usually colored red. Pick any spot and click on it to create a custom landing spot and land there. Now, you have two options:

Vendor inventories are not always the same, and their stock fluctuates every day. If you’re having trouble finding Tantalum at a vendor,tryrefreshing their stockby waiting for a full in-game day. Waiting 24 hours anywhere on the map resets their inventory, but you might need to do this a couple of times to find something specific.
