Where To Harvest Helium-3
Helium-3 is a very common resource that can be found on hundreds of different planets and moons. This includesKreet, one of the first moons you’ll get to explore shortly after starting Starfield. But just in case you want to check other worlds for Helium-3,you can do so by scanning the planet or moon from orbit. Once you find a suitable location, land on the world anduse the hand scanner to zero in on nearby Helium-3 vents.
Mineral deposits and gas vents work differently. While you can mine minerals likeTitaniumorSilverusing the laser cutter, that won’t work with vents. Instead, you’ll need toget close to the vent and harvest the gas manually by pressing the prompt. That’s going to be E if you’re on PC or A if you’re on Xbox. Additionally, you canbuild Outpostsand then set up Helium-3 extractors in order to harvest the gas more efficiently.

All in all, there are over 400 planets and moons in Starfield where you’re able to find Helium-3. We’ve handpicked a few notable ones for your convenience down below, but you can find thefull list at this link right here.

Where To Buy Helium-3
Helium-3 can be found in ample supply in Starfield, but you don’t need to necessarily harvest it yourself. There are quite a few vendors in the game that keep the gas in stock, although usually in limited quantities. But since Helium-3 isn’t needed for a lot of things, you don’t have to worry about having to keep a ton of it anyway.
The best vendor to buy Helium-3 from isAmoli Bava. She can be found in the city ofNew Atlantisin the shop called Jemison Mercantile. The shop is very close to the landing pad and is pretty much impossible to miss. Amoli sells Helium-3 foronly 5 Credits per unit, so feel free to buy everything she has in stock. You should have more than enough Credits by the time you reach New Atlantis if you explored Kreet beforehand.
While you’re in New Atlantis, you can also check in withWen Tsengat the United Colonies distribution center. She sells Helium-3 as well. Another merchant you can try isDietrich Sieghart. He can be found at Sieghart’s Outfitters, a shop near the Astral Lounge on Neon.
