Should You Use A Keyboard?
Using a mouse and keyboard for Starfield is the perfect option. After all, if you have the game for PC, that’s probably how you’re used to playing. Like with most games, you’ll use WSAD to move your character and use the mouse to look around. You’ll also use the mouse to shoot and kill enemies. To accessPhoto Mode, you would use ESC and go to the main menu. To access the Starmap (where youfast travel) you’d use Tab. The only downside to using the mouse and keyboard is that you’ll have less range to move around while playing, unlike with a controller. You will have to sit up in your computer chair and sit exactly as you would at a computer.

Should You Use A Controller?
Using a controller to play the game is also a great way to do it. The only downside to using one is that you’d have to buy one if you don’t already own it.Like most games, the left joystick will allow you to move, and the right joystick allows you to look around. You’ll be using the triggers to shoot, aim,scan, and use Skills. If you’re using to using controllers, you may want to stick with using one for this game too. The controller will allow you to move around a bit, and you won’t have to sit in the same position for a long period of time. This allows you to sit however you feel you want to.
Should You Use Both?
Truthfully, Starfield is a unique experience. This game allows you to seamlessly switch between a keyboard and a controller, depending on what you’re wanting to do.If you have a controller plugged in and start using it, the game switches all button prompts to match the controller. The moment you hit a PC button, the prompt switches back. This makes switching between the two amazingly easy. At the end of the day, this game was optimized for both. No matter which you pick, you’ll have a great time.
