This guide will explain how to set up Cargo Links inStarfieldso you can easily transport resources between outposts. Let’s break it down with someStarfieldhelp on how these systems work, and how to get them up and running in no time.

Materials are a crucial part ofStarfield, required for things like ship customization, crafting, and more.

You can never have too many, and Cargo Links make sure that you’re not spending all of your time flying around the universe to collect materials from your many outposts.

There are two types of Cargo Links: In-system and Interstellar. In-systemStarfieldCargo Links are for transferring items between outposts located within the same system, like the Alpha Centauri system.

If you want to send resources from one outpost to another, a standard Cargo link will do the job. Setting it up is pretty easy, as you can get it done pretty much right away. Start by building a Cargo Link at your outpost by going into your outpost-building menu. Place the Cargo link where you want it.

You will need to set up two different terminals: one for outgoing items and one for incoming items. Outgoing is where resources from your outpost will be sent, while incoming is for receiving resources.

By default, you can set up three Cargo Links at any outpost. Once you set up a Link at every outpost you want connected to the system, your resources will flow between one another.

Interstellar Cargo Links inStarfieldare used when you need to transport resources between outposts located in different star systems. These are a bit more complicated because you’ll need a specific resource—Helium-3—to power them.

First, you’ll need to build an Interstellar Cargo Link on a planet that has Helium-3 available. If you scan the planet with some around you, it will show up as green.

Once you’ve found the perfect spot, set up Helium-3 extractors and link them to storage containers. Then, connect the storage to the Interstellar Cargo Link. Setting it up this way makes sure that your cargo link has the fuel it needs to run consistently.

From there, you can set up outgoing and incoming transfers just like with regular Cargo Links. But remember, this system will use Helium-3 to power the transfers between different systems.

Now, you may move resources between any outpost in the universe. Using Cargo Links inStarfieldmakes your life as a spacefaring captain much easier, allowing you to send resources across the galaxy or just to a neighboring outpost.
