While EA has had some missteps with the franchise over the years, the publisher seems to be getting back on the high ground with theirStar Warstitles after the success ofÂJedi: Fallen Order, its single-player-focusedÂStar Warsstory. This fall, we’ll see the publisher take on a single and multiplayer title in the form ofStar Wars: Squadrons, which will let players take control of famousStar Warsships later this year.Following the release of its reveal trailer yesterday,EA has debuted several screenshots for the upcomingStar Wars: Squadronsto let us look a little closer at the ship-based space combat title. The screenshots themselves are primarily direct-feed images from the reveal trailer, but offer some tantalizing looks at the game and what to expect. Specifically, several of the screenshots seem to highlight some of the playable ships that we (presumably) will be able to control in-game, such as the X-Wing, Y-Wing, TIE Interceptor, TIE Bomber, and more. From what we know about the game so far,ÂSquadronswill offer a single-player campaign that is set after the events ofÂReturn of the Jediin theÂStar Warstimeline. The campaign will also be fully playable in VR on PS4 and PC if you own either a PlayStation VR headset or PC-supported VR headset. Likewise, the multiplayer will be aimed around 5v5 dogfights between players, and will support crossplay across platforms. The game’s price will also be set at $39.99, indicating that this might be a smaller-scaled experience compared to previousÂStar Warsreleases from EA over the past few years. While the initial reveal trailer was focused around cinematics, EA has revealed that we’ll get our first-look at gameplay fromÂStar Wars: Squadronslater this week at EA Play 2020. The digital event, which presumably is what EA would have shown at E3 2020 this year, will featureÂSquadronsalongside a number of other titles and new reveals that the publisher has in store for the near future.

Star Wars:SquadronsÂwill release for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on June 10, 2025. For a closer look, you can check out the gallery of new screenshots below:
