Developertri-Acehas released the final mission report for their upcoming RPG,Star Ocean: The Divine Force, introducing new story characters, two party members, and gameplay details based on the enemies and bosses that players will encounter in the campaign.
Tri-Ace released the fifth and final mission report in Japanese, so it is currently unknown whether the trailer will be available in English. However, two new party members first spotted at the Tokyo Game Show, Theo Klemrath and JJ, will join the roster of playable heroes with their unique gameplay style. Besides that, four new story characters were introduced in the trailer, each having their own story background that can enrich the game’s campaign mode. Keep in mind that players will engage in dialogue with these characters to learn more about them.
The trailer also shows off how players can defeat bosses and enemies by focusing on their weak points. Based on the usage of movement speed and skills, it’s vital to dodge incoming attacks since players will occasionally have to battle enemies alone, which might make it difficult to use combos. As seen in the trailer above, Theo Klemrath excels at his giant axe, allowing him to pull enemies from a distance and deal area damage against multiple enemies. JJ, on the other hand, can make himself invulnerable when needed. His main premise is that JJ can apply serial attacks with the help of his mobility.

The second part of the trailer focuses on how players should employ their skills in boss fights to prevail. It is safe to say that there will be a wide array of bosses, as you might expect from an RPG that offers long play times. Players should use their combos in boss fights by approaching them after dodging boss attacks. Timing is essential for beating bosses, as it allows players to attack their weak points to deal extra damage. With the addition of Theo and JJ to the roster, ten playable heroes will be available for players to assemble their parties.
Star Ocean: The Divine Force is an action RPG in which players can move in 360 degrees to roam around the skies. According to the developer team, the game will have a gigantic environment for players to explore. It will release for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam on October 27.
