This is the final section of the chapter before actually meeting the Monkey King, and these totem poles are what stand in your way of getting to work with him to end the Ice King’s reign of terror.
How To Complete The Totem Pole Puzzle
The purpose of this puzzle is to ensure that the correct faces of the totem pole are at the bottom of it. To do this, the player playing as Zoe will need to be in their tree form, and the player playing as Mio will need to be in their monkey form.
From here, glance up at the faces above the totem poles to see that the facesgo in order of blue, yellow, and red. This means that you will need to ensure that each pole has the face showing above them at the bottom.

Mio is able to pound on the totems, making the entire pole go down, and Zoe can then use her powers to hold the totem in place.
Make sure that you time it so that the pole on the far left is on the blue face, the middle pole is on the yellow one, and the one on the far right is on the red face at the same time.

The Best Strategy For This Puzzle
My best friend and I found thatthe best strategy for this is for Mio to start on the middle totem. Since the yellow face is toward the bottom, if this one is hit first, it can continue to move while Mio moves to the next one. Just ensure Zoe is ready to stop it with the thorns when it reaches yellow.
From there, she can move to the one on the right and knock it so that Zoe can stop it once the face reaches the red one.

Finally, head over to the one on the left and knock it down.Since blue is the first face that the totem reaches when hit, Zoe can automatically hold it in place the moment Mio hits it.
