Brent Spiner, who primarily played Data inStar Trek: The Next Generation, was a fan favorite. While he also played a few other roles in the franchise, Data remains the one that fans still relate him to. He once spoke on his thoughts about whether the beloved show should get a reboot in the future. And given this is the era of reboots, with so many old shows and movies getting the treatment, it won’t be a surprise if fans get a newer version ofTNGeither.

Brent Spiner Thinks aStar Trek: TNGReboot is Inevitable

A beloved show likeTNGgetting a reboot might be something fans have been hoping for a while. And with stars of the OG show like Patrick Stewart giving his blessings for a reboot, things might be taking shape behind closed doors for now. Even Brent Spiner had once revealed that he would love to see the show come back with a new cast. Saying he loved the recent movies, speaking of the Chris Pine trilogy, in an interview withSYFY WIRE, Spiner said:

I think that sooner or later, they’re going to do a reboot, a motion picture version of Next Generation, and cast some young guys in our parts.

Whether it is another show, or a movie with the characters coming back to screen with new faces, fans would be delighted to have a rebooted version ofThe Next Generation.

Patrick Stewart Wants a Big Screen Version of Jean-Luc Picard

After playing the Captain of the Enterprise for seven seasons inStar Trek: The Next Generationand then in another four movies, Patrick Stewart wants to make another big screen appearance. Although he was initially reluctant to do Picard, which ran for three successful seasons, Stewart would not mind doing another big screen take of his character. During the audience Q&A in the 2022 New York Comic Con Picard panel, a fan asked if Picard would be the last time the cast comes together. To this, Stewart said (viatrekmovie.com) :

I know there are some Paramount+ people here and also from Paramount Pictures, we could still make a movie.
