Sigourney Weaver is one of Hollywood’s most celebrated science fiction actors, right up there with the likes of Harrison Ford, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Keanu Reeves. With her being cast as a part ofThe Mandalorian and Grogu, the actress has managed to cement herself further in the science fiction Hall of Fame, something that only one other actor has been able to do.

With her introduction into the Star Wars universe inThe Mandalorian and Grogu, the actress is now on par with Keanu Reeves when it comes to the number of science fiction franchises that she has her fingers in. From classics like Aliens to the highest-grossing film in the world, Weaver has decisively left her mark on the science fiction genre of films.

How much does the public really need or want another Ripley movie? I don’t really sit around and think about it, but if it came up, I would consider it. It has come up a bunch of times, but I’m also busy doing other things. Ripley has earned her rest.
