Seth Rollins has emerged as one of this generation’s biggest and most captivating WWE superstars. The multi-time WWE World Champion has become a top name in the professional wrestling industry, and his fame transcended those borders last year with a huge opportunity.
The Visionary had landed a role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film ‘Captain America: Brave New World.‘ He was cast to play a member of the Serpent Society and even shot scenes for the movie, as seen in photos that emerged online.
However, reports emerged that he had been dropped from the film. Seth Rollins himself confirmed the same in a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet, which was a huge disappointment for his loyal fanbase.
Despite the saddening news that Seth Rollins will not appear in the new Captain America movie, wrestling fans will see former WWE Champion Big E as part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in some capacity.

Big E has been absent from in-ring competition after suffering a devastating neck injury back in 2022. Since then, he has been part of WWE in non-wrestling capacity roles. During this time, the former New Day member also landed a role in a Marvel Cinematic Universe project.
The former WWE Championtook to his Xto announce that he would be lending his voice in the series ‘Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.’ The show is airing on Disney+ on Wednesdays, with Big E voicing one of the characters.

Although he did mention the exact one, he shared an image of three black characters driving in a car, possibly being one of them. Moreover, E’s excitement about making it to a Marvel project was on full display in his tweet.

While Seth Rollins, unfortunately, lost out on a chanceto make his MCU debut, Big E bagged an equivalent opportunity to be part of them and carry the presence of the global juggernaut on a huge stage.
Why was Seth Rollins cut from the new Captain America Movie?
In a recent interview withComicbook.com, the director of Captain America: Brave New World, Julius Onah, stated that Seth Rollins was incredible. But as they progressed, he felt that the character needed someone who could bring a particular kind of gravitas that could blend with the film’s tone.
“I love Seth, Seth’s incredible. But as we were evolving and we knew we had an additional photography period, just one that we did early on in the process that’s planned. We were trying to figure out, ‘Hey, who’s somebody that can bring a very specific kind of gravitas that works with this tone.”
Furthermore, after actor Giancarlo Esposito agreed to take the role, the director felt that he fitted the character according to the vision that he had for the film, and the belief became true as they progressed with the film.

“When Giancarlo [Esposito] became available, it was such a no-brainer. I have a very particular history with him. He’s iconic for working with Spike Lee. So it’s really about making sure that all the elements worked in the grounded tone and vision that I have for this film. As we evolved and iterated, Giancarlo just made sense. What a blessing to have in this film.”
