The soundtrackwill consist of six CDs and a “40-page booklet”that will feature commentary from the music team. There are 150 tracks in total, including the recently revealed main theme “I’m Here” and the ending theme “Vandalize” which is performed by Japanese rock band One Ok Rock.
The physical edition is priced at ¥8000 ($55.13). It’s unclear if there will also be a physical release worldwide, or if streaming is the only option for those outside of Japan. Sonic Series Sound director Tomoya Ohtani mentioned “All 150 tracks will be released for streaming worldwide!” in hisannouncement tweet.
The full extent of the tracklist has yet to be revealed, Ohtani shared that the full list would become available following the release of Sonic Frontiers. A few tracks have been announced already, the songs mentioned above and some tidbits of others like the Starfall Islands theme.
Sonic Frontiers will be released later this year. Several trailers for the game are already out, showcasing that the title will have more of an open-world focus with an upgrade system and puzzle-solving. It’s going to be a longer fare than is normal for a Sonic game, taking between 20 and 30 hours to finish according to director Morio Kishimoto (viaIGN).
The game will feature several of the classic Sonic cast, including Tails, Dr Eggman and Amy. The latter of which we have high hopes for. Our features writer Akubelieves Sonic Frontiers could be a good opportunityto bring Amy “back to her roots” and elevate her above just being a “Sonic fangirl.”
Sonic Frontiers releases November 8 on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC.
