Adding to the sting, Liefeld claims that Kevin Feige and Disney executives ignored him on the red carpet. They were in close proximity with him but still did not acknowledge his presence. The creator said,“It was meant to embarrass, diminish, and defeat me.”

But despite his issues with the studio, he has nothing but praise forRyan Reynolds. He credits the actor for not only bringingDeadpoolto life but also genuinely caring about the character’s legacy and the people who created it.
