Aesthetics doctor, Dr. Jonny Betteridge, took toInstagramto comment about what Gosling had done to his face. Betteridge explained the actor’s facial transformation throughout the years by showing his pictures from different times.

In the first photo of theBlade Runner 2049actor taken in 2011, the doctor explained that he had somevery impressive masculine features. The doctor explained that his facial features were defined by well-structured cheekbones, square jawlines, and a wide chin. He also added that Gosling’s mid-face flatness was very characteristic of his appearance.

He noted that Gosling must have sought treatment for his face’s sunken-like appearance. Betteridge shared that the treatment could’ve included dermal fillers for some form of mid-face restoration. The doctor explained that he would’ve carried out the process by placing dermal fillers on four points in the mid-face region. He added that this could help the actor to restore the cheekbone structure and volume in the region.

The changes became visible in 2021 and the doctor guessed that it would be the time when Gosling started the filler treatment. Sharing a photo of the actor in 2021, Betteridge shared that Gosling’s face looked less sunken and much fuller. The six-year difference in his face, especially his facial proportions and fullness, was clearly visible in the photo.
