Fans ofResident Evil: Resistance, Capcom’s new asymmetrical multiplayer game, received some good news today. While it was pretty much guaranteed thatResistancewould be getting several post-launch content drops,Capcomconfirmed today that quite a bit is in the works. Unfortunately, they’re still being coy about what that content is. However, they did give us a little tease today in the form of aBrave survivors and sinister masterminds: Take a peek at our Resident Evil Resistance title roadmap.Jill Valentine will be available as a survivor starting April 17th, but rest assured that more content is coming over the next few months!pic.twitter.com/wxdWyBy7G4— Resident Evil (@RE_Games)August 09, 2025" target="_blank" rel=“noopener noreferrer”>new content roadmap. As you may see, details are incredibly light. Outside of Jill Valentine joining the ranks of the Survivors, there’s not much here. That said, there are a few things to draw from this. Importantly, we now know when Jill is coming to the mode. While I’m a huge Martin Sandwich fan, you can’t deny that people are going to be more excited to play as a known character than a random survivor. Hopefully, Capcom adds a few more knownREcharacters toResistance; however, they’re going to need to do more than that.
After Jill, things get murkier. In May, we can clearly see that a person is coming and, while it looks like a man to me, I’m not 100% certain. Given that Jill is being added as Survivor, it would make sense for the next character to be a Mastermind. Sadly, the character isn’t wearing an old-timey Spanish hat, which rules out Ramon Salazar. The young Castellan is the character I’d most like to see become a Mastermind, but I’m sure Capcom is just holding him off for a bigger content drop. Past that, Capcom is keeping things even closer to their chest. June and onward simply read as “under construction”.
All in all, there’s not too much to go on here. That said, it’s good to know thatCapcomisn’t just abandoning the game altogether.Resident Evil: ResistanceandRE3are available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
