Keep those sheets clean.
There are far worsemultiplayer experiences to enjoy with friends, but if you’re like me, you’ll get full enjoyment from winning your matches. Sometimes, however, winning is easier said than done.
REMATCH offers three match modes in Quick Play: 3v3, 4v4, and 5v5. In this guide, we’ll cover how to win your 3v3 matches and the best practices to employ during them so you can extract as much fun as possible.

The Goalkeeper Is The Main Facilitator In REMATCH’s 3v3 Mode
One of the advantages (or possible disadvantages, depending on who you ask) of REMATCH’s 3v3 mode is the role of the goalkeeper.
Yes, their primary concern is still about being the last line of defense to make crucial saves and prevent the other team from scoring, but goalkeepers in 3v3 have another role:being the main facilitator of your offensive attack.

The goalkeeper will always be the first player to touch the ball at the start of a match or after a goal is scored. As such, it’s important to properly set the tone. Your natural instinct may be to immediately pass the ball, but that runs the risk of the opposing team intercepting it and heading the other way on an odd-man rush.
Once you obtain possession to start play, slowly walk out of the net and toward midfield. This puts you in an excellent position to be more aggressive with your opening play while putting pressure on the opposing team.

The best way to pass the ball and set up a scoring chance is to make the defending team play out of position. If someone comes to attack you and challenge the ball, they will leave someone else wide open. Use this to your advantage.
Additionally, look for quick strike opportunities. I can’t tell you how many times I caught a defender napping as one of my teammates made a run toward the net, allowing me to set up a long-distance pass leading to a quick goal.

Never, Ever Leave Your Goal Unattended
This may seem contradictory, considering that I just recommended you, as thegoalkeeper, start a possession by leaving the goal. I want to make something abundantly clear:I am not telling you to sprint down the pitch at breakneck speed as you throw caution to the wind.
Whenever I walk the ball down the pitch, I always stop at midfield. I consider that the point of no return, as I’m confident in my ability to sprint back to tend goal should the opposing team force a turnover.
There are so many times I see a goalkeeper get too careless as they move downfield. With only three players on each side during a 3v3 match, that leaves a lot of open space. As such, it’s easier than you realize for the opposing team to kick the ball as far as they can and, if the goal is unattended, into the back of the net. Don’t be that person who lets this happen.
You do not have to play carelessly just because you leave the goalkeeper’s box. Sometimes you won’t be able to score a goal on a possession. That’s soccer; it happens.

Use Open Space To Your Advantage
One way to maximize your chances, though, is to use all of the available open space to your advantage.
The 3v3 matches in REMATCH can feel empty at times, even with a smaller pitch. That’s just the nature of the 3v3 mode. Most of the time, it’s just two players battling on the pitch while the goalkeepers stay in net.
As a result, you can use this to your advantage in two ways.First, look for opportunities to create space between you and defenders. You can get behind the defense and, with a nice pass from your teammates, put yourself in an excellent position to score.
Additionally, with all the open space available, that means there won’t be as many defenders in the box.The best way to take advantage of this is to aim above the net when you shoot, hitting the backboard and creating rebounds that put the goalkeeper in a bad situation.
Goalkeepers will want to actively block the initial shot, even if it’s out of reach. This puts them out of position to properly defend the rebound from the waiting attacker. I’ve seen so many people score off a rebound from the backboard, simply because it takes too long for the keeper to recover after a botched dive.

Play Intelligently, As There’s Less Margin For Error
Everything I’ve mentioned thus far showcases the most important aspect ofREMATCH’s 3v3 mode: there’s very little margin for error.
If you make a mistake while defending, there are only two other people there to pick up your slack: your other teammate, who may not be in a position to save the day, and the goalkeeper, who has to be at the top of their game to make a save on a breakaway.
There’s a popular saying in sports that translates well to 3v3 play inREMATCH: let your opponent make the mistake. Put them in a position to mess up and be ready to pounce.
you’re able to take advantage of bad players and blow by them. But if you’re going against skilled players, aggressive and careless play will be your downfall. Be smart and take advantage of other people’s mistakes rather than letting people take advantage of yours.
