The final week of 2018 has now come and gone and once again, Rockstar Games’Red Dead Redemption 2has found itself at the top of the weekly sales chart in the UK.
Despite a litany of year-end sales that saw a variety of games shifting around on the weekly sales chart,Red Dead Redemption 2held firm in the number one position for the third straight week to close 2018. Once again this week,FIFA 19andCall of Duty: Black Ops 4followed closely behind in second and third place respectively. On the year as a whole,GamesIndustry.bizreports that these three titles were the best-selling of 2018 in the UK, which is unsurprising if you’ve been following these charts every week.
The top five positions as a whole this week have remained the exact same with the only swap beingSuper Smash Bros. UltimateandBattlefield Vswapping positions at fourth and fifth. The rest of the top 10 positions are filled with usual suspects such asForza Horizon 4,Spyro Reignited Trilogy,Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, andCrash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy.
